Costco extends the manufacturer’s warranty to two years from the date of purchase. As a result you get the one year manufacturer warranty, plus a second year warranty from Costco.
Credit Card Member Benefit
Several credit card companies offer “Extended Warranty Protection” as a card member benefit. Use their credit card to buy the appliance. As a result, they will extend the time period of the U.S. manufacturer’s warranty.
For example, Chase Sapphire Rewards offers an extra one year warranty (on all eligible warranties of 3 years or less) when you use your card to purchase the appliance. Their coverage kicks in after all other warranties end.
Stack Warranties
