How to Install a Luxe Bidet Attachment: Step-by-Step Guide
Installing a bidet attachment may seem intimidating, but with this step-by-step guide, you’ll have it up and running in no time! Today, we’re walking through the installation of the Luxe Bidet, a popular choice for its sleek design and functionality. I’ve chosen the beautiful gold knob version to match my bathroom accents, but Luxe offers a variety of colors to fit your style.

How To Install a Bidet Attachment
Even though I’m installing a Luxe branded Bidet attachment, the same steps should apply to most of the bidet attachments on the market. Give yourself about 30 minutes to complete this task. Step 1: Turn Off the Water Supply
Before starting the installation, turn off the water supply to the toilet. This is crucial to prevent any water mess when disconnecting the hose later. Once the water is turned off, flush the toilet a couple of times to empty the tank.
Step 2: Remove the Toilet Seat
Pop off the caps covering the seat bolts and use a screwdriver to unscrew them. After removing the seat, make sure to clean the area—there’s often some buildup or grime around the seat that you’ll want to take care of before proceeding.
Step 3: Install the Bidet Brackets
The Luxe Bidet swivels for easy cleaning, so it includes brackets that sit under the toilet seat bolts. Align the bidet attachment’s slots with the holes in the toilet bowl, then reattach the toilet seat by tightening the bolts.
Step 4: Disconnect the Water Line
Now it’s time to disconnect the water line feeding into the toilet tank. Use the included wrench to loosen the connection and be prepared with an old towel or bucket for any remaining water that may drip out.
Step 5: Attach the T-Adapter
Ensure the rubber washer is inside the T-adapter. Use the plumber’s tape (about 2 inches) to wrap the water line connection clockwise to prevent leaks. Connect the T-adapter to the water supply line.
Step 6: Connect the Bidet Hose
The bidet comes with a hose that has a brass end and a screened end. Start by attaching the screened end to the T-adapter, making sure it’s tightly secured with the built-in wrench system. Then, wrap plumber’s tape on the other end of the hose and connect it to the back of the bidet.
Step 7: Reconnect the Water Line
Using the plumber’s tape again, wrap the connection at the bottom of the T-adapter and reconnect the water line to the toilet. Once everything is securely attached, you’re ready to turn the water back on.
Step 8: Test for Leaks
Turn the water supply back on about halfway and check all the connections for leaks. If everything is dry, you can turn the water on fully and watch as the toilet tank refills. If you notice any leaks, tighten the connections as needed.
Step 9: Test the Bidet Functions
Now that the installation is complete, test the bidet! The Luxe Bidet offers adjustable water pressure, as well as different wash settings—there’s a front wash for women and a nozzle-cleaning feature for regular maintenance.
